Since its foundation in 1196, Torre Abbey has witnessed, survived and even played a role in some epic moments of history. Visit the recently restored Abbey, cafe, gardens and exhibitions.
Dartmoor National Park
A day out on Dartmoor with its breath taking scenery, it was the setting for Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Hound of the Baskervilles and most recently Steven Spielberg’s Film War Horse.

With more animals than anyone else in the South West, you’re in for a really wild time – A great day out for the kids and all the family.
Babbacombe Model Village
Feel like a giant at Babbacombe Model Village as you wander through 4 acres of beautiful award-winning gardens.
Shoalstone Pool Brixham
Shoalstone Sea Water Open Air Swimming Pool and picnic area. The pool is patrolled and monitored by Lifeguards from 9.30am until 5pm daily, weather permitting. Notices will show when Lifeguards are not on duty.
Dartmouth Steam Railway
The scenery is breathtaking, along the spectacular English Riviera Geopark coast line, to the picturesque station at Churston, then on through the wooded slopes of Long Wood bordering the Dart Estuary to Kingswear. This is one of the finest heritage steam railway journeys anywhere in Europe.

Brixham Pirate Festival
A swashbuckling mix of piratical fun and entertainment over the Mayday Bank Holiday each year!
Brixham Trawler Race
The annual event has brought together two of the port’s biggest one-day festivals – the famous Trawler Race and the Fisherman’s Mission Open Day. Skippers dress the boats with bunting and battle it out with two lap race around the Bay and fun and festivities on the quayside all raising money for local charities.
